Welcome Message
We have the honour and pleasure to invite you to participate in the 1st Asian Leadership Forum(ALF), 56th Executive Council Meeting and EROPA Seminar 2010 on "Public Administration and Disaster Management " with the theme 'Reducing Risk, Delivering Services, Spearheading Recovery' jointly organized by the Government of Nepal and Eastern Regional Organization for Public Administration (EROPA). The upcoming events are hosted by the Ministry of General Administration, Government of Nepal. The event is going to be held on 21-25 November 2010 in Kathmandu, Nepal.
The seminar is to be attended by EROPA state members, group and individual members. We hope that the seminar would bring together hundreds of government officials, policy practioners, and academicians from Asia and the Pacific and beyond. I wish the discussion among the participants around the table would be fruitful to all of us.
We are looking forward to welcoming you to the events in Kathmandu.

Events
Government of Nepal, Ministy of General Administration, in association with Eastern Regional Organization for Public Administration ( EROPA) is organizing an international seminar on " Public Administration and Disaster Management : Reducing Risks, Delivering Services and Spearheading Recovery" from 21 to 25 November 2010 in Kathmandu. In addition to the seminar on disaster management, the event will also include the following activities:
- 56th Executive Council Meeting
- Special Session on " Federalism as a Structure of Government "
- This special session shall examine how government works in a federal set-up and try to answer the following questions. How is federalism implemented ? How is government structured in federalism? What are the advantages and disadvantages of such set-up and what conditions should be present in order to make federalism effective?
- First Asian Leadership Forum
- The Asian Leadership Forum (ALF) is a new enterprise in EROPA which aims to bring together leading goverment practioners and personalities in the region to discuss important issues in Public Administration and Governance . For the first ALF ,EROPA and the Ministry of General Administration adopted the theme " The Need for Leadership Development ".
